Five-factor model of personality and Parkinson’s Disease: a systematic review

Some studies have associated Parkinson’s disease with specific personality traits. We aimed to analyze profiles in based on the Five- Factor Model, using following 3 instruments as parameters: NEO Personality Inventory, revised and Five-Factor Inventory. A systematic review was conducted according Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses. The PsycINFO, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science databases were searched. initial search resulted 232 studies, 11 selected full-text review. traits most commonly high neuroticism low extraversion conscientiousness. These results cannot be attributed only because other diseases present included studies. Evidence from these is insufficient state that there a typical profile disease, given this nonspecific found many psychopathological disorders differ considerably each other. This study registered PROSPERO (registration number CRD42021271526).
